Last Saturday I found myself in beautiful Olinda, on the top of Mt. Dandenong. It was the middle of the day, though for all the light available it might as well have been dusk. I stood beneath my umbrella, cameras clutched to my body beneath my coat in an attempt to spare them (and myself) from the constant rain and freezing conditions. Meanwhile Chris and Melissa waited patiently for my next suggestion, blissfully unaware of the conditions I’ve just described, and while still a couple of hours away from officially being able to call themselves husband and wife, they were already somewhere else, lost in the dream…

Some days are meant to be. Today I was lucky enough to document Samuel and Amelia’s wedding at the incredible Emu Bottom Estate. I’ve shot at Emu Bottom Estate previously, but have always lacked the time to explore it thoroughly. Today was different. I was able to wander throughout the grounds at a leisurely pace with a couple happy to trust in the process. They were relaxed, happy and truly spirited. While Samuel ran off to deal with some logistical problems, I grabbed this frame of Amelia in the homestead doorway. I can’ wait to get back there again.
